Meditation
Schedule
(Revised as of 5/23/2008)
Please note that each 25-minute meditation
period is followed by five minutes of walking meditation.
The group gathers at Shove Chapel beginning at about 6:00 to set up altar,
cushions and chairs. There is no charge or fee, but donations are appreciated. It
is best to wear comfortable, loose-fitting, dark clothing without patterns and
designs, but if you come from work and cannot change clothes, it's not a
problem. Newcomers are encouraged to come by 6:00 for some orientation. At 6:10
the evening begins, see the list of weekly sits above for what to expect that
evening. At the end of the last period of meditation the
Four Boundless Vows are chanted,
and there is a time for sharing and announcements.

Saturday Mornings
from
6:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. also at Shove Chapel. After the sitting many of us
usually walk to a nearby coffee shop for breakfast.
Saturday Morning summer hours (6:00a.m. to 8:00 a.m.) begin effective May 24,
2008.
First Saturday: Four 25-minute periods of meditation
including WITR (work in the room) with Sarah
Second Saturday: Four 25-minute periods of meditation
Third Saturday: Four 25-minute periods of meditation with
a sutra service during the 3rd period (7:00 AM during the summer)
Fourth Saturday: Four 25-minute periods of meditation
Fifth Saturday: Four 25-minute periods of meditation,
then during the 3rd period, a way-seeking-mind talk given by sangha members.
On the occasional Monday evening when we are not able to sit
at Shove Chapel due to a college event we often announce meetings to be held in nearby establishments and
hold dharma discussions there. Often we learn of the
"bump" on short notice and are unable to post
the news here. When a sitting has been
canceled, we usually gather at Wooglins Deli located just south of Shove Chapel
near the South East corner of Tejon and Cache La Poudre.
