Autumn Equinox Retreat, September 2013

Autumn Equinox RetreatOur Autumn Equinox Refuge Retreat begins under the Harvest Moon, and will include a Ceremony of Taking Refuge in the Bodhisattva Way. What a fitting way to enter the season! We will take refuge together in awakening, the way and our companions. With days together in the luxury of silence and deep practice, we create and enact this refuge, sharing the harvest. We will close the retreat on Sunday with a brief ceremony of offering the harvest to all beings, sharing a potluck meal to which all members of the community will be invited.

If you don’t live in the Springs and wish to attend, we will be happy to help you find a place to stay. The retreat days go from 5:30 a.m. to 9 p.m., so although we sleep at home, we continue to practice and be in retreat during the nights. This going back and forth but never leaving the retreat can in itself be quite a powerful experience.
