Lit By a Star Retreat

December 8 and 9

Ancestral Custom?  Early Winter Refuge? Yep, Bring it on.

On the evening of December 8, and the day of December 9, SMS members and friends mark the awakening of Siddhartha Gautama, the Buddha, by sitting, maybe by the fire rather than under a fig tree, into the night and on the next day. We’ll share some conversation and goodies  in celebration, musing on the place of awakening in our ancestry, in our lives, in our world….and we’ll sit in meditation, which is itself awakening.

It’s a pretty great time to stop and put down whatever you are carrying, for a bit.

Where:  Creek Bend Zendo
Time:     Friday evening 7-9:00 PM
Saturday 9 AM -5:00 PM
