Join us as we discuss Akira Kurosawa’s groundbreaking 1954 film, “Seven Samurai” in a two-part series. This film explores themes of community solidarity, camaraderie, and the “trickster” archetype. Please note that this deeply engaging story does contain violence.
While streaming the film together would be logistically burdensome, it can be rented on numerous platforms. Moreover, you can view the film (alongside all of Kurosawa’s other classics) by doing a free 14-day trial of the Criterion Channel.
